My toddler always wants to see what's happening on the kitchen counter when we're cooking Option 1: someone holds him Option 2: put him in a high chair Option 3: ? Maybe a step stool? Something else? Any suggestions?

Yes I saw an IKEA hack blog that explained how to do this — do able but lack the toolkit or aptitude to do it properly
