The US never ceases to amaze me in terms of how inconvenient it is to raise kids here

Many of the Smithsonian museums in DC have barely any changing stations—and where they do they are miserable rooms where I would never want to take my kid

It's almost as if society says have kids if you can afford them, but don't bring them here
