Ok twitter I need your help settling something for me. I was doing a deal with someone and I had to pay him $100,000. I paid the $ but I sent $100,000 in ETH 4 weeks ago. He didn’t stable the $ and is insistent in sending me the ETH back now that the deal fell through.

If a deal is going to be uncertain or take awhile to close, best practice should be to escrow stables if that is the agreed value.

If the transaction was supposed to initially close the same day and had a time factor, the buyer sending ETH could possibly be understood if it was agreed.

However, once the deal time slipped and became uncertain, there should have been two way communication on how to manage funds in escrow to avoid this outcome.
