If the goal was less engagement and more needless gatekeeping then I think the changes @dwr.eth made to channel membership are incredible! I’ve been a prolific caster in /food and have an existing streak since they were introduced. Went to cast last night and realized I couldn’t (as a non member lol) Difficult to figure out why DAU is down and so many OGs don’t bother with the app anymore

me too😂 The initial setup of the /food channel may not have caught up. It may take some time for us to become members. I have sent a DC to the host and will let you know when I have more information!!

Hbh I felt the same way and was a bit upset bc channels like /food and /coffee were places I enjoyed sharing something good, no matter if people engaged or not. Now that I can’t be part of them, it’s kinda off-putting. If even those spaces don’t feel open anymore, I’m not really sure where to cast.

I’ll just unfollow anything I can’t cast in coming very soon, and will probably stop using the app altogether if they can’t figure out how to foster a decent user experience Sad because I used to really enjoy Warpcast and have a lot of people here I legitimately consider friends
