I believe that there will be a huge positive impact on world geopolitics from the arrival of AI systems that can correctly translate in real time the language and emotions of people with different cultures. The correct compression of the other is the basis for reasonable and peaceful solutions What do you think?

My 2c: First, AI won't solve the people problem. Second, people have no say in geopolitics - those who hold the power have the say. It's not a question of understanding or education, it's a question of corruption and aspirations to power. The world isn't moved by the people, it's moved by a handful of people.

First "AI won't solve the people problem" is a straw man argument. It means litteraly nothing. Secondly, at the root of wrong and painful decisions even by the ruling classes is often a poor understanding of the other side's reasons and arguments.

All I mean to say is, it makes no sense to sidestep a problem. If we have a problem with the human nature or condition, this solution most probably isn't technological. About the ruling classes, don't be quick to assume they lack understanding. Their vantage point is higher and they have way more data than most people
