I believe that there will be a huge positive impact on world geopolitics from the arrival of AI systems that can correctly translate in real time the language and emotions of people with different cultures. The correct compression of the other is the basis for reasonable and peaceful solutions What do you think?

Back around 2010s we were certain that social networks will contribute decisevly to understanding and peace, thought some wars wouldn't have happened if it only was for social networks at the time... Turned out, socials can be conducive to hate and division as well, so... Many think technology is amoral.

The receiver in a conversation makes so many mental gymnastics that it doesn't really matter who is saying what. Machine learning will not change that. The problem is not that people do not understand other people. The problem is that people do not WANT to understand other people. Russia wanted into NATO. We said no.

My 2c: First, AI won't solve the people problem. Second, people have no say in geopolitics - those who hold the power have the say. It's not a question of understanding or education, it's a question of corruption and aspirations to power. The world isn't moved by the people, it's moved by a handful of people.

AI will be used to lead people to falsely believe human consciousness is obsolete in order to further control them. AI will also be used to greatly empower people to teach new levels of achievement and creativity, but on a much smaller scale.
