Co sign. I was definitely put off to discover I was automatically following a bunch of accounts. Realized belatedly that it was my punishment for selecting an interest “Ethereum” at sign up. Bright side is it’s been useful to get my sea legs. Once I do will mass unfollow most of them prolly.

Agree that the auto follow is a solid feature at a base level, would love to see it adjusted though and as @diid suggested it could be cool to add channels too based on similar relevancy and activity metrics

I got autofollow to a few channels too. Been a while since I tried a new social media network- I guess most people understand that selecting interests is going to populate their account with follows. But maybe that screen can tell the user so it is not a surprise for anyone.
