Feel like “Consumer crypto” is ironically terrible branding wrt consumers “Consumer” gives “Exit liquidity”, “sterile productive users” “Crypto” gives “Vague nerdy finance” and “Hot new ponzi” I get that it’s a matter of target audience & intent but I think we can do better idk

I gotta think more about it too tbh lol but my gut response is both Someone shared a graphic a while back on A16z’s (?) 2024 focal points and crypto maybe got a single mention. At first I wondered “bearish?”, somewhat agreeing with OP and then thought “Maybe I’m coping but that might be giga bullish”…

Our terms and maxi tendencies might have been kinda -EV short term & longterm wrt adoption Maybe funds are right to back other emerging industries and are showing conviction in a) existing bets b) underlying belief that all verticals advancing/time will realize leveraging crypto will increase rev/growth/ux/culture fit
