Maybe everyone already knows this and I’m dumb. But USDC purchases are free on Coinbase, transferring to Base with USDC also free, buying crypto on Dex’s has much lower fees than on a CEX with near immediate “settlement”. Why would I ever buy crypto on Coinbase ever again? Is there a misalignment here?

yeah i swapped btc to usdc on coinbase a few months ago and damn got hit hard with their fees, left a sour taste in my mouth if you know anyway to swap btc/udsc both ways without insane transaction fees please lmk

Depends what you consider insane but there is a 4x difference in fees between simple (~200bps) and advanced trade (~10-60bps) UIs If you’re willing to leave the product, you could withdraw BTC as cbBTC and then trade on a DEX on base for USDC for 5-30bps
