if you’re ever annoyed with a .webp file that isn’t compatible with xyz, macOS has a handy built-in way to convert to jpg, png, or heif:

right click > Quick Actions > Convert Image

There's a "save as PNG" chrome extension that I use for this.

Just adds that as an option when right clicking an image on a website
