Between this and ICE posting today that they want to stop illegal 'ideas' from crossing the border, this is some of the most authoritarian free-speech infringement from the US government we've ever seen. Indefensible and incredibly alarming.

this is literally what the first amendment aims to protect. future law students will be reading these cases in con law in the not so distant future.

The first amendment protects your ability to speak, not the consequences of speaking Immigration law and enforcement is not a 1A issue I am broadly against how they are handling the issue because it makes the US look weak and scares foreign visitors, however its not a 1A issue and claiming that it is undermines your point

This is a bad faith boondoggle. A business can remove you from their premises for your speech but the government cannot. Free speech is protected from government interference. That’s literally what it means.

You can say whatever you like (even Nazi protestors are allowed to say what they like) but you are not protected from the consequences of your actions, or if your speech insights others to violence. 1A is not freedom from consequence, it's freedom to say what you like, and protection from the government removing that speech after the fact or preventing you from speaking it in the first place

You are arguing out of both sides of your face. I can’t even understand what you think this means. The line between free speech and inciting violence is blood red, and if you can’t see it on your own, I probably can’t help you see it.
