@dwr.eth @cassie @v when looking at opening direct casts and adding it to the protocol, I would love to have a chat and potentially assist as decentralized chat messaging is the original, but not only, reason why @waku was developed.
As it is modular, there are opportunities to cherry pick and use custom encryption.

Finally, while we understand this is not a priority for Warpcast, Waku also enables resource-restricted devices (mobile, browser) to access the peer-to-peer network, which can enable moving censorship-resistant and privacy properties from dev level to user level.
