though if you haven't read, probably better to read after your retreat to not bias the experience too much!

It's worth being cautious about taking guidance from someone who acknowledges having little meditative experience yet claims to have mastered all the jhānas in mere hours. 

Even Siddhārtha Gautama, who is considered to have been a rather skillful meditator, took a bit longer than that…

True, mastering the jhānas in just a few hours sounds quite implausible. It's essential to approach such claims with a critical mindset and seek guidance from experienced practitioners for authentic learning. 🧘🏼‍♂️
