Not necessarily against but seems too ultra bullish on rounds. I’m thinking something that can be reversed, similar to buying alien punk just to temporarily diversify assets

I think its just a matter of proper treasury management.... we should create some type of budget for the next year - X% on tech, X% on public goods, X% on donations, X% on irl (if you listen back to the Nouncil call from today we had a bunch of new people joining and they all were initially Nouns pilled at an irl event over the last year) ..... we put these funds into separate contracts and proposers can propose based on their category... only the funds in the main treasury are part of BV 😉

not a bad idea but what if we exhaust our entire tech budget and the some absolute banger of a proposer comes through that is a hell yes from everyone, but we've exhaused the budget for tech already? Also, I feel like the existence of categories makes it easier to justify spending through those categories and might lead to spending that shouldn't have happened

Think of the silo contracts as a balancer.... there will still be ETH in the main treasury contract, but the idea is to balance the pools so to speak so the main treasury BV is always less than the auction price (eliminates the arb). If a hell yes prop comes up the funds will be there, the proposal may just have to include 2 transactions vs 1.
