Farcaster Marketplace should exist

i’m gonna sell this MacBook Pro M1 on Facebook, but would happily sell it for less to someone i trust on here + take crypto

sold this macbook via facebook marketplace and it made me wish everything was onchain

- met a stranger in a parking lot
- got handed a stack of $100s and thought ‘hope these aren’t counterfeit’
- walked away feeling like i just committed a crime

no transaction, no escrow, just handshake trust and paranoia

I get the onchain bullishness but why not even something like Venmo?

dang, didn't realize this. I don't sell much on fb marketplace but I've used it a few times as a buyer and venmo was always an option. Would be cool to use crypto though, reminds me of the cowboy-ish coinbase ad

most people selling items on facebook / craigslist won’t use venmo because they’re afraid the buyer will pay and then do a chargeback
