My 3 year old Macbook Air with a 
m2 chip was on its last legs. 

I'm very labor intensive on my electronics. 

The touchpad barely worked anymore 
one of the 2 thunder ports didn't work. 

I broke down & got a brand new M3-
Midnight Blue beauty with 1 TB of memory
16 gigs of ram, what a difference!

Did you mean 16 GB or 64? I can’t cope with less than 32 and 64 is preferred. Still. Nice machine, mine’s “only” an M1 Max. Already out of date!
