My take on FC’s unspoken etiquette after 20+ months here: - Debate ideas, not people. Never engage in ad hominem attacks. Don’t let your ego take things personally. Everyone must leave feeling smarter, not angrier. - Make a genuine effort to steelman opposing views before replying. Find your own blind spot, even if buried deep. Assume good and sincere intentions in others. - Take this as an experimental lab to get to the truth together, rather than to prove anyone wrong. Treat it as a PvE game, not Squid Games. What else?

Also learn to see things from the other perspective, put yourself in the other party shoes to know why he/she has this belief and learn to respect that even if you’re against it, it’s from there your argument can be productive.
