i believe the blind alleys are inevitable. maintaining energy is really hard. i think to some extent this is a personality trait. some have it, some don't.

Follow-up questions:
- What's the best way to avoid entering the blind alley to begin with, or is it inevitable?
- How do you maintain the energy and zeal you had when you began maze traversal, while deeply in it (esp. if you hit a streak of bad luck with blind alleys)?
