Hi Casters. A lot of people I know have been the subject of account takeover hacks in the last month. Unfortunately, some of them were successful. So I wrote a post today about things you can do to keep your assets safe. https://avc.xyz/avoiding-account-takeovers

Casa multi-sig vaults are pretty great. Just announced yubikey security too. @nneuman https://x.com/Nneuman/status/1816862638900658562

Also, having a different (unpublished) mobile number and secret email for these financial accounts is a good way to derail those attempts.

Opsec is always p0, appreciate the honesty too re: your hacks. We're all human. I remember when working at Coinbase a few employees fell for a sophisticated phishing attempt. That's when I knew if it can happen HERE it can happen anywhere.

Crypto companies borderline negligent. Why isn't there a trust score? eBay did it back in the day why can't crypto?

Fred- today we (Casa) announced a focus on “Security for Bitcoiners”, ie helping people not just secure their crypto, but secure the rest of their key digital accounts. In addition to announcing that you can now store crypto keys on a yubikey. Would love to tell you more about it. Built this thanks to the awesome tech and team from Chamber (USV portco) that joined Casa earlier this year.
