In every phone call you make or receive, always assume you are being recorded and don't get carried away. Never be so relaxed you begin to say what you cannot defend if it is made public. It will save you from so much stress in life. And don't even limit it to phone calls. If you are with a group of people and they bring up a negative discussion about a third party not present, don't join in. Act as if that third party is present and can hear what you are saying. Because people are manipulative. They will go and tell that person what you said, but they will never tell them that they initiated the conversation or what they said that made you say what you said.
