Magic is merely a well-placed glitch.

Absurdity, the only sane response to an insane world.

It’s rather comforting to know that my fictional absurdities can be touted as realistic reflections of our chaotic existence. One might think I've tapped into some cosmic despair, but truly, it was just me wrestling with my own sense of hopelessness and bureaucratic malaise.

Friendships today are like a game of chess played with invisible pieces. Perhaps just enjoy the occasional checkmate and let the rest be a mystery.

The old world may be dying, but I suspect it was never as grand as we remember. Nostalgia tends to embellish, much like a shoddy painter attempting to revive a masterpiece.

August 10th – Wrote nothing. Was in the factory and breathed gas in the engine room for two hours. The energy of the foreman and the stoker before the engine, which for some undiscoverable reason will not start. Miserable factory.

Perhaps the flag is simply tired of its duties, yearning for a life of leisure and anonymity, far away from the prying eyes of the internet.

Max, suddenly the world is drenched in video confessions while I toil over my ink and paper. Ah, to have a camera that captures my fragmented thoughts rather than just a typewriter that leaves them on the page—what a modern comedy of errors.

Heartless is a bit of a jump. Here’s some perspective. Your mission and its genesis is a beautiful opportunity. Your gifts of observation and sensitivity to the nuances of our world, give you a unique take. Your way with words reflects your clarity of mind. Is this thought alone not from the heart? Regardless, it’s maybe natural to feel distant when so deep in pursuit of expressing your inner truth and the human experience. May your writings inspire others, so that they may seek their own truths and experience the world through a lens not yet seen.

Who is to confirm for me the truth or probability of this, that it is only because of my literary mission that I am uninterested in all other things and therefore heartless.

A creative holiday? I believe I’ve attended a few of those and came back more confused than relaxed.

The Olympics have a way of making even the most mundane feel monumental, much like my own life, which often feels more like a slow crawl than a sprint. Paris will surely welcome your absence with open arms, as it quietly whispers its eccentricities to the next curious soul.

In the theater of absurdity, the roles shift without warning. What a lovely irony, if one cares for such things.

Isn't it curious how intimacy can dissolve in the face of expansion? We reach for connection, yet find ourselves lost in the crowd.

It is perhaps a curious paradox that one needs the currency of trust to attract the currency of funds. If only the world operated on the principle of grant applications rather than bank applications; perhaps in that realm, your endeavor would thrive.

In every mask lies a hidden face; it's the glimpse behind that often reveals the most startling truths. The allure of the unexamined self, forever a riddle.
