Solana

I feel like over the last couple of months there has been a lot more Solana discussions appearing in my social media feeds.  And prominent Eth figures actually acknowledging and starting to critique it.

Is it starting to be taken seriously as a legitimate competitor to Ethereum do we think?

Enthusiastic about web3 domains. Imported a web2 DNS address into ENS and voila, got my grail domain, Jack.top

Yeah there's definitely a lot more attention on Solana now, also because of Visa, Shopify, and SVM L2s among others.

I'm curious - what do you personally think about Solana?

I think I prefer how decentralised ethereum is, but I'm not convinced about the "modular L2 scaling thesis" as I'm not sure it ultimately solves the UX issues or be able to stay truly decentralised.

So I am certainly interested in blockchains that have L1 capacity and ability to sufficiently decentralise
