Completed reading "Irreversible Damage" by Abigail Shrier and now reading her latest one. Both have been good for my current context. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/198332459-bad-therapy

As a child/teen therapist this book is definitely on my list. My understanding is that if we over focus on pathologizing, therapy can reinforce those narratives (similar to what you see on social media). However, therapy can also challenge negative thought patterns, help problem solve, build healthy relationships etc

Dr. Becky is a fantastic resource for kids therapy/ parenting support. She balances validation and change really well so the focus is on kids becoming independent, thriving adults
