I remember getting into crypto twitter in 2014, talking with Nick Szabo, Mike Hearn, Peter Todd, Adam Back, Ian Grigg, Dan Larimer, Aantop and many others, casually, as a total noob. No big deal. Getting into Farcaster has to be the most frustrating, unrewarding experience I've ever had on social media. Skill issues?

I found meaningful conversations to be difficult as I onboarded. Some thoughts on things that helped: 1. Always cast in channels, never the home feed unless you want to bury it. Mid-sized channels are best 2. Casts don’t go viral, tools go viral. Frames are typically the most viral unit on Farcaster 3. Reply more than you cast. It’s a great way for people get to know you 4. Look for a 250 - 1,000 person channel that you can contribute frequently to. It’s the perfect size for building up awareness I struggled to migrate from Twitter for a while, now I’m all-in. So many assumptions are different though, and it took me a while to figure it out the hard way. Hopefully this makes your onboarding smoother than mine was!
