I remember getting into crypto twitter in 2014, talking with Nick Szabo, Mike Hearn, Peter Todd, Adam Back, Ian Grigg, Dan Larimer, Aantop and many others, casually, as a total noob. No big deal. Getting into Farcaster has to be the most frustrating, unrewarding experience I've ever had on social media. Skill issues?

I found meaningful conversations to be difficult as I onboarded. Some thoughts on things that helped: 1. Always cast in channels, never the home feed unless you want to bury it. Mid-sized channels are best 2. Casts don’t go viral, tools go viral. Frames are typically the most viral unit on Farcaster 3. Reply more than you cast. It’s a great way for people get to know you 4. Look for a 250 - 1,000 person channel that you can contribute frequently to. It’s the perfect size for building up awareness I struggled to migrate from Twitter for a while, now I’m all-in. So many assumptions are different though, and it took me a while to figure it out the hard way. Hopefully this makes your onboarding smoother than mine was!

Community will turn your experience here to the good. Our song network here in Athens, Ga will try our best to make sure of it. At a meeting yesterday, we chatted about Common Ground and loved it. After 7 years of community building, this project also started in 2014. Lisbon, Portugal made our list of cities so important to creativity and fairness in the global music industry.vgg In 2022, our inn keeper and house producer visited the city and worked as a helper in a village near the beach for about one month. A beautiful experience for him. So I am frustrated as well, but am managing to cultivate an important network here @farcaster In many ways, it is an admirable construct set right in the middle of a chaotic global narrative. I will personally chat with a wide array of community today about common ground, community wallets and the importance of both and let you know our next steps. Thank you much for your work, truly amazing.
