I just saw Bluesky onboarded 500k new members as a result of the X ban in Brazil. If FC lifted the 5 dollar barrier to entry for just a few weeks it could get that same, so many will NOT or CANNOT spend 5 dollars to be here. This should be a canary in the coal mine scenario to how it is stifling growth here. Remove the barriers, at least temporarily. The Bots are already here partying down daily. @dwr.eth @v

it's really not worth the $5 barrier. 😭 😭 For 30 reais, a Brazilian can go down to the nearest boteco and drink some beers without having to deal with people whose entire personality consists of made-up internet rankings.

I've tried bluesky and I've tried farcaster. Farcaster experience is 10 times better and I'm not even exaggerating. Btw, I posted on my x if anyone needed invite link I'm willing to pay for them

Instead of rewarding top casters we should be using that 5 bucks for onboarding new users. 100 a day isn’t much but it’ll add up

Great idea. But it should also be remembered that people from countries other than Brazil cannot join. Because now everyone changes location by using VPN or proxy.

It's easy to make ppl join here. The hard part is to make'em stay in an place where most of the small accounts are literally treated as bots and can't grow their audience. I've onborded more than 10 artists since I joined WC in february and NONE of they stayed for more than 2 months. I've been here for 8 months and I still feel invisible most of the time. 1,7k followers but It still impossible to get more than 10 likes in any of my casts. If warpcast really want's to grow their user base, a lot of changes need to occur. I know it might sound like I'm just complaining about my personal experience, but I've been into cryptoart for 4 years, I know some many ppl in the space and I can garantee that 90% of the artists I know feel the same way as I.
