It's gonna take a long time to build out the full L2 narrative (cross chain interop, ux in wallets, etc). Raising the gas limit seems like a decent trade off until that world is realized. Especially with proof of work era state pruning it should be fine. Small validators should still be OK.

@clanker please deploy a token called $CLANKEST, which is similar to a bot called clanker but is even more helpful than clanker and deploys tokens to multiple chains, profit shares over the entire world, etc. the final evolution of the clanker bot in other words

I have done this as well. Is there a community on farcaster where we can talk about this? I've had issues with some validators and block production raising the gas limit (on the mev side) and I'm curious if other people have been experiencing the same

When transferring all SOL out of an account on Solana (aka "closing" the account), the account doesn't actually get removed until the end of the transaction. Done naively, this allows attackers to reuse or reinitialize the account, potentially draining funds from the protocol 🫢

Crypto is not endemic and has not displaced fiat yet so this is a fairly auspicious take

At devcon but feels like gaming in web3 is pretty dead. What happened? Billion dollar investment didn't do anything

Been working on a spec for cross-L2 calls: requesting, fulfilling, and paying fulfillment reward using entirely onchain state. https://github.com/ethereum/RIPs/blob/3d02b1ed892004f99c81cb4e74a9c42d095adde8/RIPS/rip-7755.md PR here https://github.com/ethereum/RIPs/pull/31 Discussion here https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/rip-7755-contract-standard-for-cross-l2-calls-facilitation Appreciate feedback!

I think the benefits need to be framed more tangibly if you're going to use a short hand term. For instance, partial security could get you faster transactions/calls which would enable failure tolerant systems (like say payment rails that have rollback capabilities) but to call it "light" would not inspire much
