1 of the best tips for running longer w/o getting bored is to start counting in 100s of seconds + block time into decreasingly smaller segments to account for fatigue/boredom buildup e.g. 1 hour as 800 + 700 + ... + 100 seconds; 42% done when you're at 2/8 mentally

Cool idea. Have you tried listening to a book or story oriented podcast instead of music?

yeah, but it makes it unbearable for me tbh, would rather run in complete silence I think it's because the rhythm is completely off from the "intensity" of the run (even if it's a zone 2 run)

That makes a ton of sense. Just saw how long you run. When I get bored with my much much shorter runs on treadmill, I just go into meditation mode counting breaths and find time can disappear. Not sure I could keep it up for amount of time you are running.
