Actually, Ethereum has focused on this since basically forever.  That's why it has tail inflation (very low due to PoS), so as to not let security depend on the fee market alone.

This as opposed to Bitcoin, which claims to have fixed supply, but no credible sustainability plan.

totally agree! eth's approach seems way more sustainable in the long run. btc really needs to figure out its plan tbh.
