Choju jinbutsu giga, a set of four scrolls from the 12th and 13th centuries, is one of Japanโs most celebrated works of art. Some consider them the original โmangaโ. The artist is unknown, and parts are missing. Some attribute the work to the artist and priest Toba Sojo,but there is no definitive proof. @checkin

Yes! And on so much merchandise in Kyoto. So few people realize you can come see it yourself if you get up high high high in the mountains.
