If you wanted to get really crazy you could do quadratic tipping We've already talked about accumulating allowances over a 2-7 day window, so what if repeat tips to the same account within that time window were also applied quadratically, ie every unit tipped after the first unit eats 2n-1 marginal units of allowance

Hi Colton, the idea is interesting to encourage good tipping behaviors. While it could work for tipping other people, there could be some friction in tipping protocols. For example, people tip @degenpad for daily streaks, tip their daily leftovers to @perl, tip @bookies for football matches, add bounty for @bountycaster, etc. Also, if the 7-day window does get implemented, the farmers could use that to tip 4-5 alts once per month and not be impacted by the cost increase. Again, I generally like the idea.

Our feeling is that farmers are already automating their tips to make sure they use the whole allowance every day, so increasing the window is unlikely to change their behavior, but will give less engaged casters and people with smaller allowances to enjoy the game That's a good point about tipping apps, but apps are going to be small enough in number that a committee could whitelist them as official DEGEN ecosystem apps, or we could try some analysis to see if we can identify an easy behavior that singles them out.

Yes, the farmers have no incentives to change their behaviors only by the window change, but when the idea you shared is in place to discourage tipping to the same account, they probably will use the window to their benefit (bulk-tip to minimize tip frequency). Regarding the apps, yeah I agree that that's probably the most practical way for now.
