I am hiring Farcaster devs. As context, I’m the former CTO of Coinbase. While there I drove our transformation from a four asset company (BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC) to the infinite asset backend Coinbase has now. I also championed and led the USDC launch at Coinbase, taking it from $0 to $1. And worked closely with @dwr.eth, who has been a friend for 10+ years. Where we are and where we're going 1. Recently, we've seen a decent increase in daily active users (DAU). Between 200K and 300K users open Warpcast every month. This needs to be 10-100x greater for Farcaster to be sustainable. 2. We've also seen a lot of previously "churned" users reactivate on Farcaster. 3. We've significantly upgraded our developer UX with mini apps (formerly frames) and wallet. 70K+ funded wallets. 4. We've scaled our USDC rewards programs for content, mini apps and invites. $250K+ in USDC rewards and growing. 5. We've introduced a new series of verifications to help developers better understand users on the protocol. Over 150K+ users have at least one verification. 6. We've launched airdrop offers, allowing developers to target Farcaster users who use their apps via mini apps. 7. Snapchain is launching soon. It's a novel, blockchain-like distributed system that will allow us to scale the protocol for the next 10x. 8. We've grown the team by 50% since the start of the year. 1/3

“Passive income” is almost always a trap to get unwitting first cyclers to be exit liquidity If someone is doing math along the lines of “just by holding/staking/whatever I’m making X per day, which is Y per year, which is insane!!” they’re probably soon going to be humbled You *can* make mostly passive income in crypto, but the yield is usually like 5-15% Always always always ask “where is the yield coming from”, and if you don’t have a good answer for it.. run Lastly, if it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is

my unsolicited 2 cents is that farcaster feels and is a tight nit community, rather than a network that's a good thing, but also a bad thing for the network? maybe? every time i open up warpcast, every cast is either referencing some new "iykyk" meta, or about crypto and as someone who isnt as interested in crypto as i used to be, i use fc less, because fc casts are very crypto/meta heavy, and if you dont know the meta, you're out of the loop if i had to ask Dan one question, it would be if he see's this as a positive or a negative, does Dan want casts to very crypto centric or more broad/different topics?
