This is the way: AI appears to optimize just like SEO. When search-enabled LLMs hit the market, the same content from top spots I held became the cited sources. AIO = just publish as much as possible? NGMI. Publish better content with better metadata frameworks.

Good insight. I’ve started to think about the near future when people will not even read your content. On X they will ask Grok for a summary and carry on. That’s already becoming a behavior. It’s a pretty bleak reality but that’s where it is all headed. Post content for the AI so it summarizes you well. 😭

Yes!! Couldn’t agree more. Pt. 2 of this cast (but then it was too long so I deleted) was that the difference now is actually a new paradigm for how to channel visibility and awareness—no longer just how to be “at the top.” Become machine-readable instead of human-readable is bleak indeed 😭 But, IMO: get to top of page + capture CTR becomes get top citation + become the summary answer
