Interesting conversation happening with this thread (linked below) re: mentorships: I do agree that mentorships isn’t as necessary as it once was for early level entry - since we now have open access to information, different value systems “you can just do things”, rigid recruitment structures, etc.

However over the past few days I’ve noticed some mid career individuals posting about wanting mentors, and this is where mentorship feels really crucial. It’s not just about leveling up - its understanding how and where to pivot, refining strategies, etc.

But by this stage finding a mentor can be tricky. Ideally you would have already built relationships with mentors earlier in your career - people you’ve built trust, history, and rapport with. That can then guide you to 10x yourself, refine your goals, helping you navigate the nuance of career trajectories.
