Each time I scroll and cast on Farcaster, I pause for a moment to recognize that, currently, Farcaster is largely an echo chamber. A biased social network with a heavy influence from millennial males raised in western school systems, wealth and cultures where propaganda like the Fukuyama ā€œThe End of Historyā€ or that all collectivism is bad has heen widely spread to modelate a type of citizen that lacks a lot of knowledge on social arrangements diversity (just see how people is starting to be aware that the way they built cities in US could not be the best for many reasons) I try to remember, also, that thereā€™s a vast world beyond Farcasterā€™s confines, and our ideas arenā€™t flawless. We donā€™t have all the insights to see every problem from a global perspective. I feel frustrated whenever I read oversimplified posts claiming we should put everything onchain, that incentives can solve every social problem, or that poor countries are only poor because of their bad leadership.

Love FC but this is my one big gripe about the network: culture is too homogeneous. Been considering branching out to other networks/platforms like Lens.

Agreed! I donā€™t know how itā€™s Lens now tho, but some months ago it felt quite spammy and NFT-centered.

Was checking up on it today and it's def more art centric, lots of creative types. Didn't see any spam but would need to try it out to get a feel for the algo.
