Each time I scroll and cast on Farcaster, I pause for a moment to recognize that, currently, Farcaster is largely an echo chamber. A biased social network with a heavy influence from millennial males raised in western school systems, wealth and cultures where propaganda like the Fukuyama “The End of History” or that all collectivism is bad has heen widely spread to modelate a type of citizen that lacks a lot of knowledge on social arrangements diversity (just see how people is starting to be aware that the way they built cities in US could not be the best for many reasons) I try to remember, also, that there’s a vast world beyond Farcaster’s confines, and our ideas aren’t flawless. We don’t have all the insights to see every problem from a global perspective. I feel frustrated whenever I read oversimplified posts claiming we should put everything onchain, that incentives can solve every social problem, or that poor countries are only poor because of their bad leadership.

The dawn of everything ;)) Cities in the US not just suck, destroyed the societal structure. All driven by full fledged consumption capitalism. We need the next type of capitalism to develop.

It's incredible how urban planning can shape entire societies. It's also interesting how countries like the Netherlands demonstrate that rapid transformations are possible. https://www.distilled.earth/p/how-the-netherlands-built-a-biking

btw: Even more hardcore level of urban planning fueled by other capital structures. 🤷♂️ All the way around in the area https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Line,_Saudi_Arabia

Nice one, very interesting. Another recommended if you like the topic. “Delirius New York” What I hate the most of car firsts areas is that these areas are pushed to the extremes and aglutination of services in… (fucking malls) Car firsts areas create deep segregation, the american dream is stuck in traffic commuting to your isolated mega house. Endless zero socially connected residential areas. Destroy any local services and local economies rendering them almost impossible. It is an endless loophole of shit tied to a generation and the car. Fortunately in Europe it only hit halfway. That half makes me goosebumps.
