Most people seem to think it's bad (incl. me) but would be interested in a contrarian take from someone who thinks it's good

There are two short books “The agony of Eros” and “The transparency society” that I really recommend you. In some parts the author (Byung Chul-han) talks about the negative parts of online dating or knowing each other online. (I’m with you on this hehe so idk if it counts)

Both books are nice but quite shallow-minded. In my opinion, Byung Chul-han boks are becoming less and less interesting since "Non-things". I think he condenses so much and his examples are so watered down that sometimes it feels like I'm reading Tyler Durden's short quotes on coffee sugar sacks.
