Should Farcaster protocol remain a niche/bubble social network for tech and crypto people or open to a wider public? If it were to open to a wider public, what topics would you like to see that you are missing now? And, most important, how we can make that possible?

My favorite topics include neuroscience, storytelling, architecture, climate change, evidence-based politics and culture/anthropology. If Farcaster had content on these topics, I would seriously consider moving there permanently (and leaving Twitter).

It would have to offer different things than twitter and not be Web3-specific...

Less invite based, or making it easier for people to share invites. I would love to see journalists, scientists, and Pedro Pascal here πŸ˜¬πŸ™ƒ. Or accounts like the RingerVerse so we can play The Mandalorian bingo

I want to see the writing communities join together again in another place to the same scale as on Twitter. I’m hoping it’s here or Bluesky because I like both quite a bit.

The great thing about Farcaster, just like any other federated network, is you can have all sorts of discussions and groups/forums on the one network, but only see what is relevant to you by joining servers/apps that serve that niche. For the tech to grow, it needs more users, and these users need to build on the tech

Organic growth by invitation curates gd community vibe, I check out farcaster more than twitter now. Mass adoption and community good vibe balance is hard to manage 🫣

It should definitely open up further. But not yetβ€”I kind of prefer this quality-over-quantity early strategy that @dwr.eth and @v are using. And if I recall correctly, the launch of Hubs into the protocol will facilitate the formation of communities geared towards specific topics.
