I worry sometimes that if I ever have a partner again, we’d become something like that. They spent a good half an hour on their phones. Together but not present. What do you think? How do you picture aging with a partner?

It literally sucks, my dear friend. But sometimes it happens. It's hard to stay motivated all the time, and over the years you have to get really creative to avoid this. But it's always possible to see the bright side of things. Recently, Dan @banthafodderdan shared a sensational quote in an interview: 👉 "We never have the ability to grow if we never branch out, so someone who's excited to explore is very important." I'm sure you'd be the explorer!! Always happy to hear from you, dear Fer! 600 👏 49 $degen

Sometimes we get caught up in this, but mostly we are engaged. Hopefully you caught these two on one of those times where it's an exception. It's nice though once in a while to be with someone and you can just "be" for a moment without pressure to be "on".

Ugg, I see this a lot too. I'm not going to lie, sometimes at home we default into this mode. Me working on something on the computer, photography, being here, etc BUT, when we go out, it's really important to enjoy each other's company. Put down the phone and connect.

Every now and then I’ll sit and play video games and my wife will settle into a good book and then we will just vibe silently together. The two of us both escaping into our preferred fantasy medium. There is comfort in silent closeness
