Lisbon. The westernmost capital of mainland Europe and the only one on the Atlantic coast. Lisbon is located in the western part of the Iberian Peninsula on the Atlantic Ocean and the Tagus River. The westernmost areas of the city's regional agglomeration, called the Portuguese Riviera, form the westernmost point of continental Europe and all of Eurasia at Cape Roca.
