being a female with complex chronic illness can feel intensely sisyphean at times. all the health progress you make in the middle of the month often seems to be completely obliterated by the end it’s common to vacillate between two weeks of regular struggle and two weeks of hell. just when you start to recover it’s back into the fire again that’s not to say there isn’t hope and healing, but i wouldn’t wish this level of relentless challenge on anyone. from the outside i’m expected to be just as useful and happy and productive as anyone else, but with only a fraction of the good days, severe pain, and an inability to even take painkillers i’ve been very fortunate to always find a way to survive anyway, but not everyone has that ability be kind out there 💛

I see you. Even just finding people you can share all the details with in a non-judgmental way with the acknowledgement that there’s nothing they can do other than them being a witness and making the experience less lonely… this has meant so much to me in my journey. Shoutout to @christin 💛
