I’ve learned that my mind has different “BIOS” modes, and I’m just discovering what they are and potentially how to use them - walking is the perfect amt of stimulation for absorbing pods/books - I don’t fidget like the textbook definition, but my version of attentive fidgeting is something like doing calligraphy drills while listening to a YouTube video - a certain type of house music at a certain beat, tonal range etc can totally get me in the zone Share yours if you know yours!

As for the items you mentioned: Walking - I also combine walking with audiobooks...and throw in "nature" into the mix. Being outdoors has always had a calming effect on me (it is the same with my son...the change in temperament is a marked one). So, walks in the woods, listening to music or talking (if I am accompanied)! Music - I work with music playing, nonstop. Mostly metal and punk (makes sense why I would gravitate toward that, from the perspective of ADHDer's using beats as stimulation). I have only recently clued on to "tonal" stuff. What have you found to be the "tonal range"?

I'm no expert, but there are words for it! This is the description for the latest soundtrack that works with my brain: "Deep focus for complex tasks, upbeat study music mix with isochronic tones. Uses beta wave tones to help you reach and maintain a high focus mental state. Use when working on advanced and complicated topics like mathematics, scientific formulas, financial analysis or any complex mental activity. Isochronic tones produce a stronger and more powerful brainwave entrainment effect, compared to binaural beats study music tracks or standard music." Other artists (albums) that totally put me in the zone for similar reasons: - Linkin Park (A Thousand Suns) - Radiohead (In Rainbows) - Kubbi (Ember) It's like they're picking at the strings of my brainstem...
