When you try to package deeply personal philosophies and authentic experiences you have lived, or desire to live into neat LinkedIn bullet points and/or values -- something, i don't know what it is, something - gets lost. 

It's like trying to explain why a joke is funny, it's not funny anymore

gosh there are too many interesting ideas here… Ok, some thoughts:
- the lossyness of a map is a feature, not a bug
- a map is not to be used as a hammer (nor is the world made of opportunities shaped as nails)
- make it as simple as possible but not simpler (paraphrasing some smart guy)
