In every area of life, underestimating the person in front of you is the biggest mistake you can make. A philosopher once remarked that some people, thinking themselves very clever, believe their little tricks will go unnoticed by others. What a grave mistake! Ah, egos—those inflated egos. Cunning and trickery may carry you so far, but intelligence is everything. Sometimes, not appearing as smart as you actually are is a powerful weapon against those who think they’re the cleverest in the room. There’s nothing quite like being fully aware yet acting as if you haven’t noticed a thing—that’s true professionalism. But of course, only to a certain extent
