Idea of the Day: You’re a Programmer? Then This Will Be Easier for You. 1. Guessing what users want is quite a tricky task, especially for programmers who are used to thinking logically. Meanwhile, ordinary people have a chaotic mix of emotions in their minds. So maybe it’s best to skip dealing with ordinary people altogether? 😉 2. Instead, why not develop and sell tools not for ordinary people but for other programmers? Surprisingly, this is a large market expected to grow to $27 billion. There’s gold here for the taking. But during a gold rush, it’s better not to dig for gold but to sell shovels! 3. So, even better would be to develop “shovels”—platforms that help programmers sell the tools they’ve created to other programmers. Here’s an example of such a “shovel,” which has already raised its second round of funding within a year since launch: https://fastfounder.ru/ty-zh-programmist-togda-tebe-takoe-budet-proshhe/
