Last night, I found myself pondering a question: Does the devil really exist? Not from the perspective of religion, but from the standpoint of reason and the depths of the human soul.
I wondered—perhaps the devil is not something external at all, but a hidden part within us. A silent, tempting voice that awakens when we falter—when we’re weakened by anger, greed, doubt, or despair.
Maybe the devil is that very moment we stray from love, truth, or fairness. Yet, it is in that same moment that awareness can shine through. Just as darkness cannot endure light, the darkness within us fades with self-awareness, kindness, and the power of choice.
Perhaps the greatest battle we face is not against the outside world, but within ourselves—a struggle with the quiet voice that sometimes leads us away from who we truly are. 22 replies
