A bold suggestion for @jacek & the $DEGEN community: 

$DEGEN tips should become $tDEGEN to differentiate them from liquid $DEGEN. 

(This would follow industry norms like AAVE’s aETH or “ve” for vested tokens, etc.)

Just gave away 500K $DEGEN in a /yellow contest & many were asking “tips or tokens?”

my question is if you tip me 1 point do i accrue that point to my balance and then can i claim that at the end of the airdrop season for 1 $degen? i’m not sure how point balances are calculated?

but whether that’s even necessary depends on how tip balances are calculated no? if you tip me 1 degen do i get 1 degen added to my allocation balance and is that balance claimable at the end of the airdrop for $degen liquid token?

Sure 1 point = 1 $degen… eventually. But a degen tip is not the same as the liquid token because it’s offchain and unfungible. This isn’t about creating a new token, it’s just about calling the proxy token something distinct to reduce confusion.
