An artist whose life bridges cultures, Elevyn grew up in both Sweden and Japan. Profoundly influenced by the iconography and artistic traditions of these countries, his bicultural upbringing has deeply shaped his unique approach to art and his creative philosophy. Elevyn's creative process centers around two primary methods: digital painting and the use of artificial intelligence. Starting with his previous acrylic works or older AI-generated images, Elevyn intuitively manipulates and paints over these foundations using his phone. The natural motion of his finger – from the upper right to the lower left – guides the flow of his work, resulting in spontaneous and responsive creations. He then refines these pieces on his computer, adjusting details and colors to achieve what he describes as an updated version of expressionist painting.

In his AI practice, Elevyn employs older versions of Stable Diffusion to uncover textures, compositions, and figures enriched by imperfections: the very mistakes that make the machine's output more human. Beginning with a sketch in Procreate or Photoshop, he engages in an iterative process of running it through AI, painting on the output, and repeating this "ping pong" game until he arrives at a satisfying composition and texture. A single artwork may involve over 200 iterations, reflecting his dedication to depth and detail. Through his exploration of texture, color, and form, Elevyn embodies the spirit of Abstract Expressionism within a contemporary digital framework. His art features dynamic interplays of hues and shapes, introducing unique motifs and brushmarks unattainable in traditional painting. Leveraging digital tools, he creates intricate, layered textures and patterns nearly impossible with physical materials, culminating in a singular visual language.
