How do you make friends as an adult?

Now, of course, you can't approach a person and say, "Hey, let's be friends," it doesn't work. It seems to me that adults are simply connected by some kind of joint activity, through which they get closer and can become friends in the future.

I think you're right. You have to have a joint activity, hobby or job that builds long lasting friendships. You also have to realize that friendship requires a contribution of time, emotions, so being a good friend is worth the effort
