For my generative art projects, this is how I bookmark different key stages of development (and can jump back to any version via git). Happy to share an image from any folder - send me your requests via comments!

my setup is different! each project has its own repo, lots of branches, and commits happy frequently. And then this screenshot is showing a separate archive that I manually manage. Every time the artwork feels like it hits a new style or a milestone, I save a bunch of images under a named folder. Super useful for me to be able to quickly go through to see how things have changed (and whether I like the changes) across long projects

I use a mono repo for all my projects (each have its own branch)  and each commit is a bookmark. Is it similar to you? or does each project have it’s own repo?

I definitely need to organize my folders and create a GitHub repo for each exploration. 
I lost too many good algos while exploring.
